Giorgio Santoriello

Giorgio Santoriello is an Italian human rights defender focused on environmental rights. He comes from Basilicata, a southern Italian region rich in natural resources but socially and economically depressed. In 2013, he founded a voluntary association called Cova Contro, which has unveiled hundreds of environmental problems in the region.
